Caroni The Last 23 YO 1996

It is the last bottling from Caroni stock that Mr. Luca Gargano found many years ago. This bottling is a blend of 24 barrels of heavy rums, that had two stages of aging in a hot climate. After the distillation in 1996, the barrels stayed in Trinidad and Tobago till 2008, when it traveled to Guyana, where it remained till the bottling in 2019. During those long years, 85 percent of initial capacity evaporated due to the angel’s share. It is a rare, exceptional, collectible rum with highly concentrated and complex flavors and aromas.
