They age this whisky in unusual ways. Firstly, in ex-bourbon and virgin oak barrels, then in sherry casks and after that, in ex-bourbon barrels again. This succession makes a distinct and complex profile of Intermediate Sherry with hints of cake, fruits, oak, sultanas, oranges, honey, and spices.
