Doragrossa Amaro di Torino

A breakpoint in the history of amaro inspired the creation of Doragrossa Amaro di Torino. In the middle of the 19th century, amaro started losing its position of a medical drink and became a drink for enjoyment – as they called it “medicine of healthy men.”

The recipe for this amaro represents common for these times, consisting of pink rhubarb root, gentian, liquorice, juniper, and wild fennel.
