Kavalan Vinho Barrique in 2015 became the best single malt whisky in the world at World Whiskies Awards. After that, it became complicated to find it for the next few years. It is still famous today and despite the challenging year 2020, a Lithuanian company Duoklė Angelams decided to finish the year with a single cask release of this whisky. We give you Kavalan Vinho Barrique Duoklė Angelams Single Cask selected and bottled especially for Duoklė Angelams!

This particular cask number W12030275A was chosen by Duoklė Angelams team. As other Vinho Barrique editions, this cask was made from staves of two red and white wine casks. Also, it was deeply charred so the whisky could soak deeper into the wood.

The tropical climate of Taiwan, wood and time did a great job with it. Whisky has a very dark colour. Aroma has notes of caramelized sugar, dark chocolate, vanilla, and mixed tropical fruits. The palate is full, creamy and well balanced, with hints of dried fruits, nuts.

It is bottled cask strength, natural colour and un-chill filtered. The outcome of this cask was only 197. Grab one while you can!
