The Spice Tree

It is an innovative scotch made by artists of whisky. Introduced in 2005, it became illegal soon after when Scotch Whisky Association found out details of maturation. Compass Box used staves of French oak inside of the barrel – usual practice in winemaking, but it is not legal in the whisky world, where a barrel has to be whole. They started experimenting, and after three years, Spice Tree came back legally with the same flavor profile, which is distinct and intensive. You will find hints of cloves, ginger, cardamom, cinnamon, and nutmeg.
