Mackmyra Svensk Rök should be interesting for those who are searching for new smoky whiskies. Most of the smoky whiskies are made using peat dried malted barley, but Mackmyra decided to add their touch to this process. Next to peat in the kiln, they add juniper, as it is usual in smoking meat in Northern Europe. While juniper is burning together with Swedish peat, it makes a unique smoke which gets into the malt and whisky afterwards.
